The City of Glendale’s Mask Ordinance 8.1.20 is now in effect.
The ordinance (signed 2/8/21 by Mayor Kennedy) states the following:
- The ordinance requires any resident four years or older to wear a face-covering whenever in an indoor public space in which social distancing of six feet or more between staff and family or groups of four or less is not possible or is not occurring.
- EXCEPTIONS: The foregoing provisions shall not apply to persons under four years of age, persons
who fall into the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidelines for those
who should not wear face coverings due to a medical condition, mental health
condition, developmental disability, or are otherwise covered under the Americans
With Disabilities Act, persons with an upper respiratory chronic condition or silent
disabilities, and persons in settings where it is not practicable or feasible to wear face
coverings including when obtaining goods or services such as the receipt of dental
services or medical treatment.
