Glendale offers two beautiful parks…

both offer family-friendly amenities and outdoor recreation

Visit Kletzsch Park

This beloved Milwaukee County Park is in the heart of Glendale. It’s located along the Milwaukee River Parkway between Green Tree Road and Bender Road.

 

It’s vast green spaces welcome a variety of activities including:

  • Fishing on the Milwaukee River
  • Sledding on the Snow Hill
  • Archery at the outdoor range
  • Dog Park (Green Tree Rd/Milwaukee River Pkwy)

Visit Beautiful Richard E. Maslowski Glendale Community Park

Glendale’s newest park is located at 2200 W. Bender Road.  It’s the center of activity during the summer months with an outdoor snack bar & beer garden.  Concerts occur weekly at the outdoor amphitheater.  Children play on the state-of-the-art, large playground. Families gather for socializing and picnics.  The fully-furnished Community Room is for rent and ideal for birthday parties, showers, and reunions. Some take their bikes, accessing from the new Trail head.

The Richard E. Maslowski Park offers a variety of outdoor and indoor features ideal for families including:

  • The Sprecher Brewing Outdoor Oasis (Snack Bar/Beer Garden) with $2 ice cream treats! (Opens 6/5/20)
  • A large, state-of-the-art playground for Children of ages and abilities.
  • The Johnson Controls Outdoor Amphitheater
  • The Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin War Memorial
  • The David Hobbs for the People Community Room with indoor restrooms.
  • MSOE & Nicolet High School Raiders Baseball Field
  • Outdoor Parking Lot…patrolled and illuminated at night
  • Trailhead to the Oak Leaf Trail

Estabrook Park

The first truly public beer garden in America in nearly 100 years. Inspirations came from Milwaukee’s brewing legacy, and the operation is modeled after beer gardens found in modern-day Munich, Germany. The Estabrook Beer Garden is a place for all people to come together enjoy nature, a great beer and make new friends.

In this park, you will find a variety of activities and amenities including:

  • Enclosed Dog Park
  • Disc Golf Course
  • Prime Fishing Locations
  • Trails and Playgrounds
  • and a Biergarten!

Klode Park

Klode Park features picnic areas, tennis courts, a community-built playground, warming house with restrooms, ice-skating in winter, and a picturesque path down to the beach on Lake Michigan.

The beach is open to swimming but it is not equipped with lifeguards or a beach house for changing.

Brown Deer Park

Just minutes from Glendale, Brown Deer Park has athletic fields, sledding, disc golf, 18 holes golf (with driving range and clubhouse), plus a segment of the Oak Leaf Trail, all surrounded by native plants and a lagoon.
