St. Francis Children's Center

St. Francis Children’s Center…serving families with special-needs.

In 1968, St. Francis Children’s Center started with one belief…the earlier children with special needs received assistance, the more opportunities there would be for them to achieve success.

Today, St. Francis Children’s Center is a nonprofit, non-sectarian organization that serves 800 children — from birth through high school — and their families throughout the Milwaukee area.

They are a team of educators, social workers, therapists, doctors, and administrators devoted to working with children of all abilities–those with special-needs and those who are typically developing–to ensure that all children have the tools needed to reach their goals.

Glendale Heights Child Care

A Child Care Center ideal for working families.

Glendale Heights Child Care was founded in 1990. It is a privately-owned childcare center that prides itself on having low staff turnover and a quality teaching staff. Located in Good Hope School, it is ideally situated for parents who live or work in the North Shore area. It’s warm, nurturing environment welcomes children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.

Parkway Elementary School

Parkway Elementary School is Glendale’s public elementary school. It’s included in the Glendale-River Hills School District. It serves 513 students in grades PK through 3rd grade with a student-teacher ratio of 16 to 1. The school offers many academic programs including Art, Music, Health, World Languages, and Information Technology.

Nicolet High School

Nicolet Union School District is an independent high school district encompassing the North Milwaukee suburbs of Bayside, Fox Point, Glendale and River Hills. The geographic area is 16 square miles. Nicolet is a four-year public school with an enrollment of approximately 1,100 students. Nicolet consistently ranks among the highest in Wisconsin per-pupil expenditure. The school population is representative of a multicultural community. Eighty-two percent of the graduates pursue post-secondary education and college preparatory curriculum is strongly emphasized. Students enjoy a vast selection of extra-curricular activities including, theatre, sports, music, art, volunteering, media, chess, robotics, and more!

Students attending the Bryant & Stratton College campus in Glendale are lucky to have a truly unique college experience. Columbia College of Nursing (CCON) has a long history in nursing education, dating back to 1901. The College has been affiliated with Columbia Hospital since 1909 and serves a vital role in the education of competent nurses.
