Trip to Yerkes Observatory

Join the Glendale Senior Citizens’ Club on a trip to Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay next to Lake Geneva on September 29. The bus leaves Glen Hills School at 11:20 a.m. for a 90-minute tour (1-2:30 p.m.) involving astronomy, architecture, and human stories of the cosmic castle in the arboretum. Stair climbing is involved and there is no wheelchair access. Bring water and snacks, as desired. A 30-minute stop at the Elegant Farmer follows, with arrival back at Glen Hills by 4 p.m. The cost is $69 (payable to the Club). Call Judy Pelton (414) 228-7750 with questions.
